Description

This fine violin bow by Eugène Sartory, Paris, is a bow that is manifestly a typical Eugene Nicolas Sartory and a modern classic in bow making. Crafted in approximately 1910. The octagonal stick is made of dark brown pernambuco and is 73 cm long. The frog is ebony with silver mountings and inlaid parisian eyes. There is a substantial amount of wear on the handle, which has been filled with clean filler, and a replacement piece of ebony on the nose of the frog.
