Description

The fascinating large violin model of the classical Italian maestro Giovanni Paolo Maggini was copied by many craftsmen in the past 400 years, due to the beauty of the double purfling and the reduced winding of the scroll. The German “Maggini” violin offered here is one of these instruments; it was built approx. 1920, most probably in the Schuster & Co. workshops in Markneukirchen and features their quality style that expresses his inimitable personality. Our luthier set up this violin and made it ready to play. Its large, dark sound is warm, rich and its mature and dominant character, the violin opens up unique opportunities for musical interpretation.
