Description

The maker was also a violinist playing in Verdi Theater Orchestra of Trieste (an important city located in the east side of Italy nearby Venice).

Piccini made his 10 years and diploma with it: he sold it as he passed to viola. The influence is very typical of the territory where Antonio Pelizon was active (1763-1850) and started this school. After him his 2 sons where active and many other violinmaker till Odino Punti now in his ’80ties, great pupil and friend of Giobatta Morassi.

This violin had a sign on the varnish in the belly sound post area so i made an inside sound post patch to prevent any further problem or crack. Its outstanding voice with its typically Italian character and warm, sweet notes has earned our special recommendation in price range.
