Description

This stick is an original work of the bow maker Eugene Sartory in Paris around 1895. This wand in planed round in an attractive dense, veined pernambuco wood in a chestnut brown colour. The fine carved head with its well marked chamfers is well representative of the work of E. Sartory in the first period. The frog in ebony and silver , is classic with is two-piece Parisian-style square heel and small mother-of-pearl grain. The knob has silver ferrules mounted on ebony.

Tried this bow the other day and was very impressed by its bright sound and clarity. Incredibly all rounded bow that can tackle most kinds of pieces. Perhaps it’s only drawback is it’s slightly thinner sound.
