Description
A fine Italian violin made by Paolo Erba in 1901. This is a beautiful example, inspired by and recalling the work of Nicolo Amati. With its comfortable body length of 35.5 cm, this contemporary Italian violin is especially recommended for musicians with somewhat smaller hands, who will find in it – despite its comfortable dimensions – an exceptionally good sounding instrument that combines rich substance with carrying radiance. The dark red oil varnish, richly applied in the best Italian tradition, accentuates the beautiful grain of the medium to long grained spruce top and the strong flaming of the two-piece maple back. This Paolo Erba violin is in immediately playable condition. Its outstanding voice with its typically Italian character and warm, sweet notes has earned our special recommendation in the price range.
