Description
Jules Gaillard, born in 1840 into a family of violin makers in Mirecourt, crafted instruments that harmonized with the style of his hometown. Drawing inspiration from the Stradivari, this violin exemplifies Gaillard’s artistry, emanating a remarkably robust and commanding tone enriched with exquisite colour and captivating complexity.
Remarkably well-preserved, this violin stands in excellent condition. Its tonewoods are adorned with a transparent red-brown varnish, delicately accentuating the fine grains and diverse textures of the various wood types in a natural and harmonious manner. Despite exhibiting minor scratches and traces of play, these surface imperfections bear no impact on the instrument’s sound quality or structural stability.
Our dedicated luthiers have diligently examined and certified the flawless, crack-free, and unblemished state of this violin, ensuring its immediate readiness for play. With a bright, radiant sound boasting a pleasantly sweet character, this beautiful violin holds the power to captivate musicians and audiences alike.
