Amedee Dominique Dieudonne, an accomplished violin maker, received excellent training as a pupil of Gustav Bazin and later worked under Hilaire Darche in Brussels. In 1920, he established his own business in Mirecourt, a testament to his dedication and skill. Dieudonne’s reputation grew as he became known for crafting exceptional replicas of classical violin models.
The instrument at hand is a remarkable replica of a golden period Stradivarius, meticulously created by Dieudonne. It is in excellent condition, a testament to the care and preservation it has received over the years. The violin boasts a charming brown-amber varnish that adds to its allure, complemented by a beautifully flamed one-piece back, showcasing the craftsmanship and attention to detail.
