The fascinating large violin model of the classical Italian maestro Giovanni Paolo Maggini was copied by many craftsmen in the past 400 years, due to the beauty of the double purfling and the reduced winding of the scroll. The delicate ff-holes were finely cut in an oblique position, and the antiqued varnish indicates the Saxon provenance of the violin tastefully. Of course the most important feature of this violin is its excellent response and the exceptionally good sound, that is large, clear and warm, precise, radiant and full of character – a highly recommended instrument by our professional violinist
